2.  Are there at least two similes?
3.  Do you understand what's happening?
4.  Are there at least two metaphors?
5.  Can you find sensory imagery?  Do they use the 5 senses?
6.  Is this a narrative in the first person?
7.  Does it start in the middle of the action?
8.  Circle any areas where you see mistakes or don't understand.
9.  Would you retell this story to another?
