Notes and notes...



1.      Journal-  How does origami make you think?



3.     Writing Process-  Series of steps that go backwards and forwards to complete a writing piece.

Invention-    Thinking of ideas.  Good ideas.
Organize-      Make a plan
Draft-             Write our essay.  Don’t think or worry.
Revise-          Fix mistakes.  Sentences and words and ideas.
Edit-               Periods, capitals, spelling.
Publish-         Perfect.


4.     Topic-  The focus of the paper.  What it’s about.
Audience-  Who it’s for.
Purpose-   The reason it’s being written.  The Job.

5.     6- Traits-

Ideas and Content-   Good thoughts, on topic, interesting-  The meat.
Organization-              The plan.  The shape.
Conventions-              Grammar, spelling, periods.
Voice-                           Your way.  Your words.  Your style. Your personality.
Word Choice-             Picking the best word.  Thoughtful.
Sentence Fluency-     The way the sentences go together.


6.     HW-  Read Chapter One in “On Course”
Summarize the chapter, and write down the 5 most important/surprising  things you learned.
